Personal injury attorney Scott Blumenshine presented on the topic of Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Arbitration Hearings to the DuPage County Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section on Friday January 29, 2021. 

The presentation was entitled - Points, Authorities and Practice Pointers for Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Claim Arbitration Hearings. The talk was co-hosted by Judge Ronald D. Sutter, (Ret.) and Daniel Kordik and included questions and discussion between Dan, Judge Sutter and Scott. 

Subjects covered included the legal origin of the critically important uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage that everyone must have in the car insurance policy.

The laws, regulations and case law addressing arbitration hearings including rules of procedure and rules of evidence. Practice suggestions included working closely with opposing counsel to get written agreements on the applicable rules in order to have an efficient and effective hearing.
